STANDING COMMITTEES
Nominating committee
The nomination committee is responsible for seeking and suggesting names for election as officers of the association.
Membership: Dr Henk Kersten (ADEE Secretary General), Professor Heikki Murtomaa (Finland) and Professor Alphons Plasschaert (Netherlands)
Committee on Information Technology
The standing committee on Information Technology is guided by Professor Nikos Mattheos and Professor Anders Nattestad. The committee is responsible for the activities of the association with respect to the new media in learning. The ADEE courseware library is one of the significant outcomes of the work in addition to the technological framework provided for the DentEd project.
Excellence in Dental Education Advisory Committee
The Excellence in Dental Education Advisory Committee is responsible for evaluating the portfolios submitted by candidates for certification. The Committee shall consist of Chairperson, Professor Richard Oliver (Wales, UK); Professor Winfried Harzer, ADEE President (ex officio); one member of the ADEE Executive (ex officio); an independent educator who is familiar with European higher education; three other members, at least one of whom should be a past recipient of the award. EDEAC is facilitated by the ADEE Central Office.
Federation of European Heads and Deans of Dental Schools
The Federation of European Heads and Deans of Dental Schools (FEHDD) This group was established to provide a forum for Deans and Heads of schools to discuss specific matters of mutual interest. The group is currently chaired by Professor Mariano Sanz.
