Szeged Programme

Communication and Interaction in Dentistry

The theme for the ADEE 2015 annual scientific conference in Szeged Hungary is ‘Communication and Interaction in Dentistry’. The Local Organising Committee under the stewardship of its Chair Prof Katalin Nagy has created an interesting and diverse programme. A wide range of aspects related to communication and interaction will be discussed during the meeting, among them methods in teaching communication skills, communication between dental professionals, communication with patients and of course ethical issues. Online registration early bird rate is now open and will remain until 31st May 2015. Click here to review the full programme.

FreeStage @ ADEE

Introducing FREEStage @ ADEE

ADEE are delighted to introduce FREEStage as a new initiative to our annual meeting Programme. FREEStage is an informal and interactive short presentation followed by a question and answer session to share your (new) initiatives in education, sometimes still in the process of development, and discuss possibilities with colleagues and peers. Places will be limited to a total of 8 (eight) presentations and will be evaluated on the abstract submitted based on:

  1. Creativity of concept
  2. Relevance to dental education
  3. Possibility for transfer within the European environment
  4. Alignment with the aims and objectives of ADEE

Application is via an online abstract submission and the closing date is 15th April 2015. Click here for more information.

Advice on abstract submission

As the deadline for abstract submission for ADEE 2015 approaches (15th April) we have spoken with ADEE’s Editor Professor Michael Manogue to give you advice on how to improve your chances of abstract selection.

Professor Manogue advises ‘Please make sure that you follow the Instructions carefully. Abstracts are more likely to be successful if they are reporting and evaluating innovations in dental education, albeit of sometimes small scale. We are interested in work that might be providing the nucleus of something that may develop further. It is very important that the word limit is adhered to, that the Abstract is structured as indicated and that it provides information which gives the reader a sense of what actually happened as a result of an intervention, rather than what might follow as result of something not yet real. The scientific team will not be interested by topics that are unrelated to dental education.’ With best wishes and Good Luck! See you all in Szeged.
