FreeStage at ADEE was first introduced to our annual scientific meetings in 2015. Now in its third year of presentation its appeal to delegates grows year on year.
FreeStage is conceptualised as an informal and interactive short oral presentation followed by a questions and answer session to share (new) initiatives in education, sometimes still in the process of development, and discuss possibilities with colleagues and peers. It allows academics share their current education activities in a more relaxed and supportive environment.
Each selected participant will be allowed up to 15 minutes (including questions and answers, presentation should be no more than 7 minutes in duration) to present their work and findings and engage with the audience in an interactive manner.
Sessions will be chaired by ADEE Executive Committee Member Dr Ronald Gorter who will encourage a facilitative, supportive and collaborative platform for discussion, with an ultimate aim to share your research, best practice and evolving concepts with your peers.
To be included for consideration delegates must be registered for the ADEE meeting and confirm their attendance in person as well as submit an online abstract of their work via the online abstract submission platform selecting FreeStage as the stream.
Places will be limited and will be selected through evaluation of the abstract submitted based on:
Creativity of concept
Relevance to dental education
Possibility for transfer within the European environment
Alignment with the aims and objectives of ADEE
Successful applicants will be advised of their allocated slot either Thursday Morning or Thursday Afternoon and of time limits and other expectations
