The ADEE 2nd European Workshop in Implant Dentistry University Education will be held in Budapest from 13-15 June. Group Chairpersons have been appointed and participants have been assigned to Working Groups. Currently, Reviewers are liaising with the Organising Committee and the group Chairs as they finalise the position papers.

The ADEE conference in Lyon started today with three groups meeting. The Dental Deans of Europe sponsored by Colgate, Young dental educators and Dental CPD in Europe. 21st Congress International Association for Disability and Oral Health
Melbourne, Australia - 28-31 October, 2012. High Number of Abstract Submissions
There has been an unprecedented number of abstracts submitted for the Annual ADEE meeting in Lyon demonstrating the healthy status of educational research in Europe. The abstract submission process is now closed. Registration for the meeting which is to be held from 29th August to 1st September will open this week.

ADEE visit to Ege University Dental School, Turkey
The Association for Dental Education in Europe was invited by Ege University, Izmir Turkey to conduct a peer review assessment of their course. ADEE continues to co-ordinate a visitation system to dental schools both within and outside Europe. This visit is the latest in a long series of such visitations which have proved beneficial in improving dental educational standards. The ADEE team consisted of Heikki Murtomaa (Helsinki, Finland), Henk Kersten (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Katalin Nagy (Szeged Hungary) and Deborah white (Birmingham, UK). The ADEE team met with the Faculty at Ege University and with the Dean, Prof.Dr.Celal Artunc.

ADEE visit to ADEA 2012
More than 2,000 attendees from North America were in Orlando to attend the American Dental Education Association’s (ADEA) 89th Annual Session & Exhibition. Cecilia Christersson and Secretary General Damien Walmsley were in attendance at the meeting which was held at the Hilton Hotel Bonnet Cree March 17 to 21st. The theme of the conference was “Engage,” which was created by ADEA President Leo E. Rouse, D.D.S., to urge academic dental institutions to engage in transforming the world of dental education.
