Topic related presentations
The closing date for all submissions is 30th April 2017. All Abstract submissions MUST be submitted via the online Abstract system. Submissions by email will not be accepted. Delegates should ensure that they read carefully the submission guidelines before making a submission as data input to the system will be used to generate presnetations and online abstract booklets.
Poster presentation and oral presentations
At this years meeting a change is being made to the presentation and evaluation of abstracts. As part of the submission process it is being assumed delegates who submit an abstract are willing to participate is chaired group presentations. Abstracts which are selected will have upto 5 minutes to present their work as part of a themed panel discussion. Posters will be electronically projected so hard copy posters will not be required if you are selected for these sessions.
Sessions will run concurrently by predefined themes with up to 8 abstracts being presented per theme per hour. The session's scheduled time is Thursday 24th August at 08:00. The best abstract selected from each theme by an evaluation panel on site in Vilnius will then be presented as the selected oral presentations to the main meeting session on Friday. The winner of each theme will receive a conference certificate of recognition.

In addition to the above sessions, a small number of standard printed posters will be selected for display from submissions not selected for inclusion in the above themed sessions.
It should be noted that the majority of abstract selected will now be presented electronically and those who are selected will be requested to log into their adee.org account and upload their poster files in due course. It is therefore important to record you login details used to upload the abstract.
Topic related presentations
Abstracts are also being accepted for our Topic related sessions which this year is focused on “Learning together to improve oral health and quality of life“. Up to 4 of the submissions in this category will be selected for a 15 minute presentation to the main meeting in Vilnius.
Abstract for our popular FREEStage format are also welcome. In Vilnius up to ten 15 minute presentations will be selected. The timing of these session are now advertised in the online programme and if selected you can be allocated to any of these slots.

Call from AEQES for interested individuals to participate in review panels
ADEE members are invited to express interest in participating in the AEQES (Agence pour l'évaluation de la qualité de l'enseignement supérieur) evaluation panels for Belgian dental schools currently being prepared by AEQES. The evaluation process which is carried out in French has a closing date of 31st March for expressions of interest. For application process and direct contact details please see the attached notice.
ADEE and Futudent are proud to announce that the entry from the University of Dundee has been chosen as the winner of the annual Video Dentistry Scholarship. Their proposal for Oral Surgery Education in 3D and full HD turned out to be an absolute favourite among the judges, praising their effort to combine groundbreaking technologies into one package and bringing practical solutions to the education of dental students. The University of Dundee Team, as lead by Dr. Shepherd and Dr. Macluskey, will be rewarded with Futudent's new Full HD EduCam package and support, allowing them to further develop their project.
