ADEE signs memorandum of understanding with Japanese Dental Education Association
The President and Executive of the Association for Dental Education in Europe were delighted and honoured to welcome a strong delegation from the Japanese Dental Education Association to ADEE 2015 in Szeged. Our Japanese school colleagues have been long supporters of ADEE through attendance at annual meetings as delegates and through participation in the poster exhibition.
In recent years Professor Walmsley and his counterpart Professor Shiro Mataki chair of the Japan Dental Education Association expressed the desire for a coming together of both associations through joint activities, collaborations and sharing of best practices. This year this desire materialised by way of a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two associations.
In signing the agreement on behalf of ADEE, Professor Walmsley expressed the hope that this will lead to increased collaboration and build on what has become a valuable partnership for both associations, he stressed the need for increasing such collaboration to ensure the quality of dental education continues to grow in what has become an increasingly complex and global profession.
