At the Association’s Annual Scientific Meeting held in Vilnius, Lithuania 23rd to 25th August the ADEE Excellence in Dental Education Committee chaired by Dr Ronald Gorter (NL) made a number of presentations for 2017.
Mature Career Excellence in Dental Education Awards were presented to Kamran Ali, Peninsula Dental School, University of Plymouth the United Kingdom, Denise Van Diermen , ACTA Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Albert Leung, University College London Eastman Dental Institute, the United Kingdom.
An Early Career Excellence in Dental Education Award was presented to Cesar A. Orsini Faculty of Dentistry, University of the Andes, Chile.
In presenting the recipients to the delegates, Dr Gorter commended all on their commitment to the advancement of dental education and wished then continued success in their future careers. Dr Gorter also acknowledged the contribution all had made to advancing the mission and underlying of ethos of ADEE, namely the advancement and fostering of convergence, collegiality and peer support and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Certificates and awards were presented by ADEE President Professor Corrado Paganelli.
