ADEE scholarship recipient host ‘simulation in dental education’ international symposium
ADEE is delighted to see the 2017 Scholarship award recipient Dr Israa Mirghani and her colleagues at the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds, take her scholarship project to completion in April 2018 with the delivery of an international symposium on ‘simulation in dental education’.
The event was attended by almost 30 European delegates with expertise in the use of virtual and haptic technologies in dental education and discussed current trends in the use of such technologies, in a critical and holistic manner. The symposium explored questions such as what is the value of simulation in dental education and how can we best maximise these technologies in an effective and efficient manner?
Over the coming months, a consensus paper drawing together the findings of the symposium will be submitted to the European Journal of Dental Education for wider dissemination.
The University of Leeds would like to acknowledge the additional support received for the hosting of this event from Generic Robotics.
