ABOUT LIVERPOOL

ADEE is delighted to be bringing our annual conference to Liverpool UK in 2023. Liverpool has seen considerable regeneration and is evolving into a vibrant and welcoming city that blends a long maritime and architectural history with modern and vibrant culture and welcome. The city features well know landmarks like the Liver Building and St Georges Hall with modern and purpose build meeting and conference venues.

Our meeting will be held in two of these modern purpose build buildings in the heart of Paddington Village in the knowledge quarter of the city, just a short distance from each other. All our workshops, SIGS COPs, Posters, Catering, Networking and Exhibition will be located at the Spine, while our plenary sessions will be held in the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre.

THE VENUE

The Spine opened in 2021 and is the home to the education center for the Royal College of Physicians at the heart of Paddington Central. The 14-storey, 160,000 sq ft building is not only one of the first in the UK to achieve a Platinum WELL Standard Certification but is also one of the most intelligent and showcases best-in-class building connectivity.

Taking its name from the striking staircase on its north elevation that resembles human vertebrae,the Spine boasts internal biophilia including sky gardens, complete with high-oxygen producing plants, a fine dining restaurant available for private hire, a large bicycle and shower facility and undercroft car parking for 50 spaces, with five electric charging points.

Our breakout sessions and exhibition will be held in Spaces @ the Spine a purpose build conference facility on floors 12 and 13. This offers an integrated experience for our workshop and exhibition while also offering 360-degree panoramic views of the city from a technologically advanced and sustainably designed building. For plenary speaker sessions we move just 7-minute walk down the road to the Yoko Ono Lennon Lecture Theatre on the campus of the University.

Our social events are being held in the Museum of Liverpool, St Georges Hall and Liverpool Town Hall, all of which are located within the city center. Delegates may prefer to book hotels within these environs. The Executive will be located at the Novotel Paddington Village just next door to the Spine for convenience.

The programme is structured so there will be no more than one transfer between these two venues per day.

BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION

We are pleased to provide you with a free accommodation booking service through Liverpool Convention Bureau. This is a flexible service which allows you to book accommodation to suit your needs and budget. Special rates have been negotiated at a number of hotels close to the conference venue.

As rooms and rates are guaranteed until 10th July 2023 it is advisable to book accommodation early.
After this date it may not be possible to book rooms at special rates for selected hotels. If you wish to make a group booking, or you are experiencing any difficulties in completing your booking online, please contact the Liverpool Convention Bureau team at accommodation@marketingliverpool.co.uk.
